VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Bungalow Early Learning Centre has always acknowledged and valued Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander peoples cultural traditions, and histories. Our key focus is to educate and embed Australias First Nations peoples cultures, strengthen our commitment to practices of reconciliation and continue building strong relationships within our local community.  We have created an early learning centre dedicated to inspiring and educating young children, an inclusive environment for all to feel happy, respected, nurtured, and accepted.

By implementing a RAP, this will allow staff and children to foster their learning and grow their knowledge in our journey of reconciliation.  As educators, we will embed inclusive practices and create positive relationships with local First Nations communities and Elders. This will allow the children of our future to create relationships and start their learnings of the shared histories of Australia, and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures at an early age. Bungalow Early Learning Centre is committed to ensuring an equal, equitable, united and long-lasting contribution to reconciliation.    What does reconciliation mean to our families? "Understanding respect and equality" "Making up for past wrongs", "Reflecting on history and how we can grow and support recovery", "Respecting the cultures of others", "Teaching/ introducing kids to Aboriginal culture", "Respect". "Strengthening relations between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people
