VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

As we embark on our Reconciliation journey here at Goodstart Cheltenham, our vision is to create a learning environment where all children, families, and staff are empowered to understand, appreciate, and respect diverse cultures, with a specific focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and knowledge. We aim to develop an inclusive, welcoming space where all children feel a sense of belonging and connection to one another, and where the importance of reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non- Indigenous people are woven through the centre and our everyday practices.

Our centre is committed to building meaningful and respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community by listening, learning, and working together to create inclusive, culturally safe spaces that celebrate and honour the world's oldest living cultures.  Here at Goodstart Cheltenham we are committed to taking meaningful, intentional steps toward to reconciliation, guided by our willingness to learn, reflect, and grow. We understand that reconciliation is a journey, and we are committed to being open, respectful, and proactive in this important work.”
