At The Learning Terrace, our vision for reconciliation is to promote a community that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians, and to foster, in all stakeholders, reciprocal relationships that represent equality and equity. Through our connections to Elders and the wider First Nations community, we will work to embed an acceptance of shared history, and to grow in all children, staff and families respect and care for the Land on which we play and learn, the Land of the Worimi people. We strongly believe that reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds, and actions of all Australians. In supporting children to become future citizens of their community, we strive to foster respect and a willingness to learn from others. We value rich and authentic connections with Elders working in respectful partnership as we continue our learning journey. Our vision is that we will see all stakeholders working together to create a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
