VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Young Academics Early Learning Centre Glenmore Park, located on the Lands of the Dharug people, we are committed to fostering an environment of respect, understanding, and connection with the First Peoples of Australia. We believe that reconciliation is a continuous journey of learning, unlearning, and growing together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider community.

Our commitment to reconciliation is rooted in the recognition of the rich culture, history, and contributions of the Dharug people, and we aspire to create a space where all children, families, and staff feel empowered to acknowledge and celebrate this connection. By respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily practices, we aim to nurture young minds to appreciate diversity, equity, and empathy.

We are motivated by a shared vision of a future where all cultures coexist harmoniously, where every child is given the tools to respect, value, and contribute to their community. Through education, respect for Country, and the encouragement of open dialogue, we strive to build bridges, not only between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous peoples but within our own community.

Reconciliation is a pathway of healing and growth, and we are proud to walk this path with the guidance of the Dharug people, fostering the hope of a future where truth, understanding, and respect lead us all forward.
