Our Vision for Reconciliation at Penguin Childcare Epping includes creating an inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, histories, and perspectives are respected, and respectfully embedded into daily practices. We strive to ensure we are providing equal and equitable educational opportunities and outcomes to all children by planning and implementing activities and experiences that respect and share knowledge about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and practices whilst remembering the past and learning how to reconnect as one. We aim to educate our children about the reconciliation in education whilst incorporating a sense of being, belonging and becoming at our centre. At Penguin Childcare Epping we provide children with a range of learning experiences in a respectful way which enhances childrens knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples heritages and encourages connectedness to First Peoples within our centre and the broader community, building and maintaining positive relationships with the Wurunjeri People.
