Our vision for reconciliation is for a community that continually grows in our respect, understanding and learnings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We will reflect on our reconciliation journey as we engage with the local Gunditjmara peoples, as well as their cultures and histories in the Glenelg Shire. We will authentically embed reconciliation practices that are engaging to Educators, children, families and future generations, and embrace the belonging and engagement of these cultures in our community today. Â We will celebrate respectfully and acknowledge the importance of histories, knowledge and cultures of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Â Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child and Family Complex will strive to ensure that we create a culturally safe environment where all people feel a sense of belonging and inclusion. Â A community inspired by 'Who we were, who we are and who we can be. (Noel Pearson) Â Â Â Â Â
