At Parkdale Family and Childrens Centre, we are committed to increasing our knowledge and understanding of the histories and cultures of the First Nations People of Australia. We strive to provide an inclusive, welcoming and culturally safe environment for all children, families and community members. We believe that reconciliation is something that is key for working towards equality and equity for all Australians and moves us as a nation towards respectful relationships, where all communities are embraced together. This RAP demonstrates our commitment to deepening the knowledge and pedagogical practices of our team to embed inclusive and responsive teaching practices to First Nations children and families as well as non - Indigenous children and families. We continue to engage with local Aboriginal communities to actively recognize and respect Bunerong Peoples culture and ways of being. We network with our partner services and broader council reconciliation group to ensure we are continuously learning and reflecting on Country.Â
