Our goal is to build our knowledge of Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, culture and perspectvies and to share this with the children, families and community.
We are actively listening to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through regular conversations, events and celebrations, seeking their advice to gain a stronger understanding of protocols and preferences. Through these complex conversations we are working in collaboration to teach children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
Our team is actively creating a meaningful place of reconciliation for children, families and community. Working together to prioritise time and budgets to ensure our team are supported through professional development. This continuation of professional development has supported our organisation to make significant changes across programs and practices.
We will strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-indigenous peoples to work towards an equal and equitable future for all, for the benefits of all Australians. Reconciliation is an ongoing process that is built on respect and trust between First Nations people and all Australians.
