Okinja Early Learning and Kindergarten

Okinja Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten's vision for reconciliation is that all children, educators and families have opportunities to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. We will provide a culturally safe environment for children, educators and families. We recognise and respect the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi as the Traditional Custodians of the Land which our centre is situated on. We are commited to respectfully embedding First Nations peoples' cultural perspectives into our program and practices.        

Our centre has a strong focus on community connections. We aim to strengthen our connection to the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi community by continuing supporting organisations we have connected with in the past year, as well as forming new connections that will support our children, families and educators.
