VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Leading Leaps, our vision for reconciliation is intertwined with our commitment to holistic child development, equity, and respect. We recognize the importance of honoring the Traditional Custodians of the Land where we operate. Our vision guides our efforts to nurture the whole child and foster connections with families and communities. Acknowledgment and Respect: We pledge to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land, honoring their histories and culture. This commitment is reflected in our practices and educational programs, ensuring children learn to respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ heritage. Cultural Learning and Engagement: We respectfully enbed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into our programs, broadening children’s understanding of these cultures. Continuous professional development for staff ensures culturally responsive practices. Family and Community Collaboration: We prioritize building strong respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities. By listening and collaborating, we gain an understanding of their experiences and aspirations. Equity and Justice: We are committed to addressing equity and equality gaps between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other communities, promoting fairness and ensuring equal and equitable educational opportunities for every child. Celebration and Recognition: We celebrate the many contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through events and educational activities, fostering pride among children. Continuous Improvement: Our reconciliation journey involves ongoing reflection and enhancement of our practices to align with our goals and positively impact the community. By embedding these principles into our philosophy, Leading Leaps aims to create an inclusive, respectful, and equitable environment where all children, families, and communities can thrive together.
