Our vision for reconciliation at Highfields Gardens Child Care Centre is an inclusive, unified, and respectful learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are deeply acknowledged, respected, and embedded in our everyday practices.
We strive to walk alongside First Nations peoples in a journey of truth-telling, learning, and meaningful connection. Through this, we strive to nurture a sense of belonging, respect, and cultural understanding amongst children, families, educators, and the wider community.
We believe that reconciliation is more than acknowledgment — it is action. We will continually adapt our pedagogy and practice to reflect the histories, perspectives, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Guided by our educators' growing cultural awareness, we will support our learning community to actively engage in reconciliation and contribute to a more just and equitable future for all Australians.
