At Fun Club @ West Wollongong, we continue to work with our Educators, families, children, and community to foster unity by facilitating trusting and respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.  We provide a learning space that works with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as we deepen our understanding of the importance of acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the Lands, perspectives, histories and contributions. Our team works together to look beyond what celebrating and acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and histories look like beyond NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week, and how they can be respectfully embedded in the everyday practice within the centre. This will be seen through our relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities. Big Fat Smile and Fun Club @ West Wollongong are committed to furthering our respectful connections with the First Nations community and an authentic reconciliation journey. Â
