C&K Park Lake Community Kindergarten

We acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners, the Kombumerri people, of the Land where our kindergarten service is situated. We collaborate with children, families and community to celebrate and respect the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and perspectives.    Reflected in C&K Park Lake's philosophy, we are committed to fostering respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and histories, respectfully embedding our learnings into our children's program.   We acknowledge the importance of staff developing their knowledge of First Nations peoples cultures, histories and perspectives and provide opportunities to extend staff understandings and awareness of the continuing contributions of First Nations peoples in Australia. We engage in authentic professional development and cultural learning opportunities through connecting with and partnering with local First Nations peoples, Elders and leaders.
