The Carrum Family and Children's Centre’s vision for reconciliation is a unified community through acknowledging and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. The service will continue to provide a culturally safe and responsive space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators, families and children to reach their full potential.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan is our formal commitment to respectfully including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives and heritages through the teaching and learning that happens in our service. We acknowledge the significant relationship Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with Country and are committed to educating the community, including staff, families, and children, through advocacy, inclusive policies, and programs.
Our vision for reconciliation is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to be recognised and respected as the First Peoples of Australia and where all Australians respect Elders past, present and future for the cultures, valuable learnings, immense wisdoms and knowledges they hold.
