At Goodstart Busselton we are committed to the continual growth of our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and perspectives. We aim to respectfully embed these teachings within our everyday curriculum, and throughout our indoor and outdoor play and learning environments. Our vision is to be leaders in inclusive and culturally responsive practice, strengthening authentic connections and relationships with local First Nations communities. We strive to learn together, work together, and celebrate together, fostering a shared journey of reconciliation and cultural respect. By deepening our cultural understanding, we aim to confidently and meaningfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into our programs and practices, ensuring they are not only visible but genuinely valued. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive space for all and every person feels a strong sense of belonging. Through our work with children, families and communities we seek to listen, learn and deepen our understanding and respect of First Nations peoples and cultures, tell the true stories of Australia’s histories, and to care for the Land on which we live, work, play and learn.
