Busy Bees at Spearwoods’ vision for reconciliation is for children, educators and families to continue learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, building respect towards the Traditional Custodians of the Land. This Land was, and always will be, Aboriginal Land.
We continue to work towards building and maintaining respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community. Our service respectfully embeds First Nations perspectives, histories and heritages into our daily and yearly programs and practices. As a part of our curriculum, our service delivers intentional teaching opportunities for the children to raise awareness about First Nations people's histories, perspectives and cultures, which in our vision creates sense of belonging within our service. We strive for unity between First Nations people and other Australians, and a national culture that respects and ensures equality and equity for all.
