Goodstart Early Learning Blakeview is committed to developing and implementing a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their histories and cultures throughout our daily practice.
We acknowledge the Kaurna People as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we meet each day and ensure their histories, perspectives and experiences plays a significant role in our centre's programming and practice, whilst providing families and children with an authentic approach to reconciliation through intentional teaching and learning experiences.
The service supports educators to be committed to further developing their knowledge and understanding and will take on all learning opportunities provided to them both within our service and within the wider community to deepen their understanding of reconciliation in education.
We will continue to establish and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and ensure that everyone feels culturally safe within our service. We will continue to collaborate respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
We believe that bright futures start with inspiring beginnings and it's up to us to lead the way in best practice towards reconciliation. We are constantly updating our knowledge with correct and professional learnings and pass this knowledge on through our teachings.
