As a service, we are committed to building and maintaining respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We will ensure we are equipped to educate children now and into the future about reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is to actively engage with the cultures, histories, and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will ensure this is done by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our centre is built, the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples, every day and working in partnership to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our routines, environments, and programs. We are committed to teaching children how to care for the Land on which we have the opportunity to play and learn on. Our resources and environments will continue to show respect to the cultures in the local community and will be available for all children, families, and educators to explore and use every day. Our environments will continue to encourage conversations that contribute to learning for a culturally safe and responsive community. We are committed to sharing our reconciliation journey with all children, families, educators, and the community and be proud of this journey.
