Our vision for reconciliation is to continue leading and driving positive change, through our actions and practices, for reconciliation between non-Indigenous and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children, education & communities on the Country our centre operates. We recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of these Lands.
We acknowledge and respect the uniqueness of Languages and customs across the many First Nations Peoples communities, listening to First Nations Peoples perspectives and voices and considering these in decision making. We acknowledge and respect First Nations Peoples traditional ways of being, caring and supporting childrens learning journeys. We respectfully include First Nations Peoples cultural perspectives in our daily early childhood practices and commit to creating learning environments that promote a sense of identity for First Nations Peoples.
We continue our commitment to provide high quality, inclusive early childhood education that engages all children, families and community members, advocating for policies that support equality and equity for First Nations children and families. We encourage educators, children and wider members of our kindergarten community to continue developing a deeper understanding of First Nations Peoples cultures to enable us to deepen our growing relationships with First Nations community members, agencies and organisations.
We continue our commitment to increase opportunities for First Nations children to participate in our service and for all children to develop a higher level of knowledge of First Nations peoples, histories and cultures. Our RAP enables us to embed ethical actions in all that we do by thinking about everyday actions and decision making, either individually or collectively, and responding with respect to all concerned.
