Goodstart Eary Learning Eumundi is situated on Gubbi Gubbi Land, where we embrace the rich cultural heritages of the Gubbi Gubbi People. Situated in the Noosa Hinterland, our centre is connected to the surrounding natural environment, including the ocean, bushland and local wildlife. We incorporate these elements into our daily learning experiences, enriching our programs, and fostering respect for the world around us. We recognise that these lands and waters always were, and always will be, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lands.  Â
Through our partnerships with Eumundi State School, we engage in shared learning opportunities and community events that celebrate and deepen our understanding of First Nations peoples and cultures.  Â
We use literacy, craft and conversations to share and explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and cultures. These experiences help promote a strong sense of belonging, inclusivity, and cultural respect of the First Peoples of Australia in our young learners.  Â
Reconciliation is not a single step, but an ongoing journey, one that calls us to reflect, grow, and take action together. We are committed to sharing with our families and community why embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives is a vital part of our learning journey, and how it contributes to reconciliation and healing as a nation.
