VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation here at Papilio Early Learning Samford is to contribute to a national culture that represents equality, equity, and respect. Ultimately, we aim to come together to strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. Educating children and families about Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' history and culture is a crucial step towards fostering deep understanding and empathy.

Respectfully incorporating First Nations peoples cultures into our daily practices assists in creating a culturally inclusive environment.

Communication plays a vital role in fostering meaningful relationships and understanding. We can create opportunities for genuine engagement and learning. Additionally, involving First Nations artists to share their skills can inspire creativity and appreciation for Indigenous art forms.

By implementing these strategies, we are laying a strong foundation for reconciliation at our centre. It is important to remember that reconciliation is an ongoing process that requires continuous effort and engagement. Encouraging others to have similar conversations and promoting these principles in the wider community can contribute to the broader goal of building a reconciled and inclusive society.

Our commitment to educating, incorporating, and communicating aligns with the principles of reconciliation and has the potential to create a positive impact on the children, families, and the community as a whole.
