To the staff at Goodstart Fernvale, reconciliation is the strengthening of the relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider community. We build on these relationships through inclusion, respect, and furthering our knowledge. Our service commits to building collaborative relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Â
We understand our role in reconciliation as creating a culturally safe environment for not only the children in our care but the families and educators. Our service will engage in meaningful conversations and further our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, histories, cultures and about the land on which we learn and play.
