Here at Goodstart Alexander Drive, we are working to establish new connections with the community to build better relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and embed learning with the children and families. Extending our hands to make new connections we will: * Acknowledge and respect the past and present communities and reach out to build strong relationships, celebrate their histories, cultures, and traditions. * Recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Straits Islander peoples on a daily basis not only on days of significance such as Sorry Day, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day and NAIDOC Week. * Listen to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to ensure our learning and educating is respectful. * Provide current and continuously developing education to children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's histories, cultures, customs and traditions. * Within our service, we as a team, promise to maintain our vision to grow as a community working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and continuing to honour their guidance.     Â
