At Head Start Montessori, our vision for reconciliation is a connected community that respects and acknowledges the Yuggera people and the Turrbal people as the Traditional Custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane).  Â
We are committed to fostering respectful and genuine relationships that promote understanding, collaboration and shared responsibility. Through the education of young children, we will continue to learn about and foster a community that has deep respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and ways of knowing. We will ensure the children of today grow up in an inclusive environment that values diversity and belonging by integrating and embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our learning program and everyday practices and learning experiences. Â
We recognise reconciliation as an ongoing journey grounded in listening, learning, and reflection. Reconciliation will be the foundation of our programs as we continue to foster a learning environment that provides opportunities where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their diverse cultural identities are, respected diversity and empowers all First Nations voices to be heard.Â
