Our vision for reconciliation at The Chermside Early Education Centre is a service environment that is inclusive and respectful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At the heart of our vision is the strengthening of not only the relationships between our Centre and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, but also of the relationship between the wider Chermside community and the First Peoples of Australia. We work with the children in our care to reduce the risk of institutional racism, fostering a high level of knowledge, understanding and shared respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ identities, histories, cultures and contributions.
