Our vision for reconciliation at Clontarf Sesame Lane Child Care and Kindergarten is an Australia that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians, and a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared history and removal of negative race relations.
In the context of our service, we will continue to ensure that every child has access to high-quality early childhood education and care. We will continue to work alongside families and community to provide equal education outcomes for all children and learn, unlearn and relearn together on Gubbi Gubbi/ Kabi Kabi Land. We will continue to create an inclusive and diverse centre that is not just culturally safe, but culturally rich and proud. We will seek equal and equitable enrolment and participation opportunities for children and their families in our centre.
We make a commitment to care for, and look after, the sea and land and to respect it. We are learning about the stories and histories of the Land from Elders in our community as part of our commitment.
