VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

St Andrews Kindergarten Vision for Reconciliation

At St Andrews Kindergarten, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and playthe Kurnai Peopleand pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present. We recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing journey that calls for truth-telling, respectful relationships, and meaningful action.

Our vision for reconciliation is one of unity, respect, and shared responsibility. We are committed to fostering a kindergarten environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and cultures are respected, celebrated, and supported to thrive. Through everyday practice, we seek to deepen our understanding of First Nations histories, cultures, and perspectives, and to embed this knowledge meaningfully across our curriculum, relationships, and community connections.

We believe that young children are powerful agents of change. By nurturing curiosity, empathy, and fairness in our learners, we aspire to build a future generation that values equity, acknowledges the past, and actively works toward a just and inclusive Australia.
