At Great Beginnings Berwick, our vision for reconciliation is to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and perspectives are respectfully acknowledged, celebrated, and embedded in our everyday practice. 

We are committed to building strong, authentic relationships with First Nations communities, recognising the importance of connection to Country, culture, and community in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. 

Through our teaching, learning, and care, we aim to support all children to grow as respectful, culturally aware citizens who value diversity and justice. We acknowledge the past and present injustices experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and are dedicated to contributing to a better, more equitable future through truth-telling, active listening, and meaningful action. 

Our centre is a place where Reconciliation is lived, not just spoken—through inclusive policies, culturally safe practices, and collaborative partnerships with families and communities.
