VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Early Learning Bennett Court Sunbury we believe, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and all children should have the opportunity to access and benefit from education and learning experiences that respectfully incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into the curriculum.

We strive to build unity through meaningful connections. By nurturing relationships built on mutual respect and shared experiences, we will create a stronger and more inclusive society. Our focus is on promoting equality and equity, historical acceptance of our own shared history and removal of discrimination and negative race relations.

We believe that reconciliation is rooted in relationships, respect and trust. Through reconciliation we strengthen the relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Peoples for the benefit of all Australians. We seek to foster deeper understanding, meaningful connections, and provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to contribute to and shape our programs.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan is a formal statement of our commitment to reconciliation, underpinned by three key themes, building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People's, having and showing respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People's empowerment and provide and for educators to engage in culturally appropriate opportunities.

Through this commitment, we aim to enrich the lives of staff, children, families, volunteers, and the broader community.
