Goroke Preschools vision for reconciliation is to create an environment in our preschool in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families feel culturally safe, have a sense of belonging and thrive in an inclusive environment.   We commit to walking and learning together for reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to raise awareness, equity and respect for First Nations peoples. Educators will be encouraged to learn and further their understanding about our shared history and the rich traditions of Country and its people and incorporate this knowledge into learning experiences. In striving for reconciliation, we are guided by the values of curiosity and understanding. We value a sense of curiosity to deepen our cultural understandings, we exercise courage to bring our actions to life, we display character by behaving in a culturally responsible manner and we show respect by living wisely and compassionately with all people.     Â
