We believe that education has a critical role to play in the realisation of genuine reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider community, and our kinder can play an important part. We are committed to fostering a culturally safe and nurturing environment, through learning, playing, growing and walking together in reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Bentleigh West Kinder is committed to developing authentic relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We are building meaningful connections with individual local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members along with organisations such as the Bunurong Land Council and the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Incorporation. We appreciate and respect the wisdom and knowledge shared with us during these interactions.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan outlines how we make a strong and positive contribution to this goal.
