Goodstart Early Learning Ivanhoe believes First Nations children and all children should have equal and equitable education and learning educational outcomes and opportunities . Through respect and understanding, we truly value each Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person as the First Peoples of Australia. As Australians actively working towards reconciliation, we embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians by promoting equality and equity, historical acceptance of our  shared histories and removal of discrimination and negative race relations.  As a centre we also believe that reconciliation is about relationships, respect and trust. Through reconciliation we strengthen the relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for the benefit of all Australians. Our reconciliation plan is a formal statement of commitment to reconciliation underpinned by three key themes of, relationships, respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples self determination. We meaningfully build and nurture respectful relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff in our service, Wurundjeri community members and Elders.      Â
