The Grove Children's Centre

At The Grove, we are committed to embedding the perspectives, cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples throughout our service. We use this knowledge to support childrens understanding of First Nations peoples, their contributions, and their ongoing connection to Country. Through the use of the 8 Ways of Learning and other learning frameworks, educators observe and support childrens learning through multiple perspectives. We value strong partnerships with families and educators, recognising them as active contributors to each childs learning journey. Our environments promote inclusion, diversity and belonging, celebrating each childs background while fostering respect for First Nations cultures and reconciliation. Our vision is to continue building cultural awareness and respectful relationships with First Nations peoples to guide our practice. Our values of respect, collaboration and safety underpin our approach, supporting childrens agency, wellbeing and voice. Through nurturing, inclusive environments, we provide high-quality education where children feel safe, valued and empowered to learn.
