VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to respect the knowledges and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples  and to respectfully share our ongoing learnings and understandings with children, staff and families.  As a service, we have been active in sharing our learnings within our programs and through our communication with our families and wider community. We will continue to form meaningful connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders. We will continue to pay close attention to the use of inclusion practices and respectful language and terminology.

We incorporate authentic and ethically sourced material both intellectually and physically within our programs that not only supports local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities but provides families with a further understanding of the cultures we are committed to share our learnings about. We  model and create learning environments  where reconciliation can develop and be seen naturally and authentically in meaningful ways.

We seek out meaningful connections between our vision and plans for reconciliation and the principles, practices and outcomes of Early Years Learning Framework. Establishing a close relationship between the two ensures reconciliation is meaningfully embedded in every day and in the early learning environment.
