Reconciliation at Holy Family ELC focuses on fostering positive relationships with the local First Nations community and creating a safe, inclusive environment for everyone and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, students and the wider community. We aim to build strong connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.. Reconciliation to us, means raising awareness about the impacts of settlement, addressing past and present injustices, and building respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It includes connecting with community Elders, acknowledging Traditional Landowners, and celebrating important events as an ELC. Our goal is to create an inclusive society where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures are acknowledged, promoting harmony and unity. This journey of learning, respect, and unity is ongoing, aiming to build a harmonious reconciled community.
