Goodstart Early Learning Carlton acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Custodians of Australia and recognises their cultures as a vital part of Australia's shared heritage.

We pay our respects to the Bidigal people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land where we learn and play. We are committed to reconciliation and recognise the importance of learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and perspectives. We aim to build meaningful relationships with the local First Nations community and to create a community, environment, and service where diverse identities and cultures are aknowledged, supported, and respected. We believe it is essential for all Australians to understand the rich histories and present-day experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We want all children to grow up in a society that values and honours First Nation People's histories, cultures, and contributions as an integral part of Australia’s national identity.
