Mount Colah Alphabet Academy understands the importance of recognising Australias true histories, and the continuing cultures of the First Peoples of Australia. We continue to respectfully include First Nations perspectives and cultures into our everyday program and to work in collaboration with the local Dharug and Guringai people, as well as wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, in a way that will foster deep-rooted and meaningful relationships.
We are passionate about, and actively committed to, creating a culturally safe environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel welcomed and included and, through continuing to build community connections, we will respectfully deepen our learning about the histories, perspectives and connections to the Land of the local Traditional Custodians. We will respectfully embed this learnings into our daily routines and practices.
