Peter Rabbit Community Preschool

At Peter Rabbit Preschool, reconciliation means acknowledging and learning from the true and authentic history of Australia and it's First Nations peoples. We recognise that this history provides essential context for understanding why the journey of reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider community is so important.     

We are committed to building meaningful connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and inviting them to share their knowledge, culture, and perspectives with our Preschool community. We value the opportunity to share our learnings and ongoing reconciliation journey with families, fostering a culture of respect and inclusion.    Through our practice, we aim to authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within the childrens learning, ensuring that these perspectives are not tokenistic but are meaningfully woven into our curriculum, environment, and community engagement.
