VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Tree of Life Early Learning School, reconciliation is a living commitment embedded in our daily practices, relationships, and learning environments. We continue to deepen our understanding, respect, and actions towards meaningful change.

Reconciliation, to us, means building connections, amplifying First Nations voices, and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into all aspects of our centre. We strive to create inclusive learning environments that reflect the histories, cultures, and ways of knowing, being, and doing of First Nations peoples.

Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) 2.0 and National Quality Standard (NQS), we ensure children engage with stories, languages, and traditions that acknowledges and respects the First Peoples of Australia. We actively embed reconciliation through First Nations-authored books, music, storytelling, and digital resources, while also supporting educator professional learning to strengthen cultural responsiveness.

We recognise that reconciliation is a continuous journey of learning and reflection and are committed to ongoing dialogue and action, walking this journey together.
