Eddystone Primary would like to pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live, work, learn and grow, Whadjak Noongar Boodjar. Eddystone's vision for reconciliation is to take action to strengthen the relationships between the school, students, families, the school community and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. As part of our commitment to reconciliation we acknowledge the loss of family, cultural identity, lands and waters, languages and communities for First Nations peoples as a result of colonisation. Education is crucial in teaching all school community members about the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.  We will provide learning environments that challenge racism and foster ethical practice. Our school vision "Together we foster belonging, create opportunities and empower everyone to thrive", embodies our approach to reconciliation in education.Â
