At St Marys College Toowoomba, our vision for reconciliation is rooted in our Catholic identity and the Edmund Rice tradition, which calls us to live out the Gospel through compassion, justice, and solidarity. We acknowledge the Jarowair and Giabal peoples of the greater Wakka Wakka Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our College stands, and we honour their enduring connections to Country, culture, and community.  We envision a College where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and perspectives are respectfully embedded into our teaching, learning, and daily life. Guided by our Touchstones of Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community, Justice and Solidarity, and Liberating Education, we strive to build an inclusive community that fosters respectful relationships, promotes truth-telling, and walks together in solidarity toward healing and unity, our vision aligns with the national movement toward reconciliation, truth-telling, and justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  We recognise that reconciliation is a continuous journey of learning, reflection, and action. We commit to walking this path with humility, openness, and purpose, acknowledging that true reconciliation requires sustained effort and deep listening.  Through meaningful engagement with First Nations students, families, Elders, and community members, we commit to creating a culturally safe environment where all voices are heard and valued. We aim to empower our students to be men of faith, integrity, action, and excellence; hope-filled men for tomorrow who contribute to a reconciled and just Australia.  Our commitment will be reflected through measurable actions in our curriculum, community engagement, and College policies. We will ensure accountability and transparency in our reconciliation journey, guided by ongoing consultation with First Nations peoples.      Â
