At Rye Primary School it is our vision to create a culturally safe place where students, families and educators come to listen, empathise with and learn the histories, stories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Australia's shared histories. We aim to inspire a community of people who will continue to listen, learn and collaborate and to actively work towards for reconciliation on Boon Wurrung/Bunurong Land and all over the nation known as Australia. We acknowledge that we have much to learn and will continue to cultivate and foster relationships with First Nations Peoples as we continue our reconciliation journey. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians moving forward.
