As a bilingual Victorian Government Primary School, Caulfield Primary School's vision for reconciliation is to foster an inclusive relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians based on mutual respect and recognition of the immense value of First Nations peoples perspectives, contributions and cultures. Â We will continue to respectfully reflect on how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and continuing contributions are represented in the schools physical environment. We will ensure that Caulfield Primary School is a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and all people, feel culturally safe and are treated with dignity and respect. We continue to respectfully engage with and learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations. We respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives in our school, in curricula, in teaching and learning, co-curricular activities and within our community. We continue to learn about and demonstrate an understanding of and engagement with Australias true histories throughout our planning and teaching. We continue to develop our understanding of the importance of place, and of connection to the Land, within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, while encouraging and providing opportunities for all within the school community to learn from Traditional Custodians about connecting to Country.
