Reconciliation is everyone's responsibility. At King Park Public School, we acknowledge the Darug Nation, as the Traditional Custodians of the Land and recognise the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to the Country on which we live, work, learn and grow. Our vision for reconciliation is to learn about the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and to build respectful relationships between our school community and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. While enhancing teachers' professional development, we are dedicated to raising awareness and about the Cabrogal Clan, their cultures, histories, and the significant contributions of First Nations Peoples by thoughtfully including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives into our curriculum, classrooms and through opportunities across our school. Through the creation of our Reconciliation Action Plan, education and developing our knowledge, we can foster change and encourage our students, staff and families to make meaningful connections.
