National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a chance for all of us to reflect, and to take renewed action towards reconciliation in our schools, workplaces and communities – no matter how big or small.
Each year, Reconciliation Australia selects a new theme to celebrate NRW. The 2019 theme is Grounded in Truth: Walk Together with Courage. In this activity, teachers will support students to explore the meanings and purpose of this year’s theme and create their own poster. They will also consider practical opportunities for bringing this year’s theme into the classroom, around the school and with the community beyond NRW and into the future.
