What is the Reflection Survey and why should we respond to it?
You must complete the Reflection Survey when developing and refreshing your RAP. It’s an opportunity to reflect on your school or early learning service’s reconciliation journey to date. It also gives the RAP Working Group an idea of the current state of reconciliation in your school or service and what your next most meaningful steps might be.
The Reflection Survey questions are in three areas to align with the Narragunnawali RAP framework:
1. in the classroom
2. around the school
3. with the community. -
Who should complete the Reflection Survey?
The Reflection Survey should be completed with the whole RAP Working Group. Your Working Group could also share a copy of the Reflection Survey questions with members of your educational community before entering the ‘average’ or ‘aggregate’ responses online.
All Working Group members can view your Reflection Survey responses. Only those members listed as a Chair of your Working Group can enter and submit the responses online.

When should we do the Reflection Survey?
Your RAP Working Group can complete the Reflection Survey at any point during your RAP development process, but it’s best done early in the process to inform and inspire your next steps.
You can only enter and edit Reflection Survey responses while your RAP is in draft.
You will also be prompted to re-complete the Reflection Survey every 12 months after your RAP’s latest publication date as part of refreshing your RAP.
You can then compare Relection Survey responses over time and track your school or early learning service’s reconciliation journey progress.

Will Reflection Survey responses be published in our RAP document?
Reflection Survey responses are not made public in your downloadable RAP document. They instead support internal evaluative and planning processes. For example, your Reflection Survey responses could inform and inspire which:
• RAP Actions, Goals and Deliverables your school or early learning service would like to commit to
• Key messages and focus areas you would like include in your Vision for Reconciliation statement. -
