Staff work together to collect a range of current news articles, research and broader media portrayals of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in their local area, and throughout Australia. Staff are encouraged to collect their media from a range of different sources, and over a significant enough time period to critically compare the perspectives and portrayals spread through the media. In doing so, staff are also prompted to critically reflect on how these portrayals of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures impact on their personal knowledges, thoughts, opinions and actions.
