My Grandmother's Lingo (Primary)

overview

This activity encourages students to engage with My Grandmother’s Lingo, an innovative and interactive animation resource that provides users with a unique and powerful opportunity to better appreciate the context, complexity and continued significance of Australia’s First Languages.

My Grandmother's Lingo connects users with the story of Angelina Joshua, a passionate and determined young Aboriginal woman from East Arnhem Land’s remote Ngukurr community. The resource has been produced by SBS, in collaboration with animator Jake Duczynski, and DJ Kuren (Curtis Kennedy).
